A former meat-packing and wholesale marketplace for Chicago restaurants. About 15 years ago the area started to transform into one of the fastest growing living, working and nightlife destinations in Chicago. The living spaces created out of the existing industrial warehouses are truly unique. Mid and high rises have been constructed where other buildings were razed. West Loop is the landing place for corporate headquarters such as McDonalds, Boeing, Google and LinkedIn and the City of Chicago just opened a new 16,500 sq ft library. A ‘restaurant row’ has sprung up along Randolph Street with some of the most notable restaurants in the City of Chicago. Public transportation includes the green, pink and blue L lines and many bus lines to get you around the City. The West Loop is an excellent place to live and work.
